Meet Your Groomer - My Story

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

From a young age, my love for animals has been a huge part of my life, whether that’s learning about them, caring for them, or simply enjoying being around them. Vanity Fur VIP Dog and Cat Grooming Spa was born from the joy I found when I got my own dog, and it has been an amazing opportunity to share that passion with clients and their pets across North Yorkshire.

As a Level 3 Qualified groomer with certifications from both OCN and City & Guilds, I am dedicated to providing the highest standard of care in a calm, kind and professional environment. I am also Canine First Aid trained, fully insured, and a Taking the Grrr out of Grooming your Dogs – Approved Groomer, meaning I understand how important it is to work at each dog’s pace and make grooming feel as stress-free as possible.

Alongside dogs, I have always had a real love for cats too. In fact, I had cats long before I had my own dogs. Over the last 30 years, I have had nine cats in total and currently share my home with three. I love their independence, their  little quirks, and how every cat has their own unique personality.

Adding cat grooming to Vanity Fur VIP feels like a natural next step for me. I understand that cats need a gentle, patient approach and that grooming needs to be carried out in a calm and quiet environment where they can feel safe.

Whether your pet is a dog or a cat, my aim is always the same, to provide a one-to-one experience where their comfort, wellbeing and happiness come first.
