Cat Grooming Designed to Minimise Stress
Cat grooming requires a calm, gentle and understanding approach. Unlike dogs, many cats can find grooming unfamiliar or overwhelming, which is why a quieter, more considered environment makes all the difference.
At Vanity Fur VIP, every cat is groomed on a one-to-one basis in a peaceful setting, without the noise or distractions of a busy salon. This allows your cat to feel safe, handled at their own pace, and supported throughout their grooming experience.
Having owned and cared for cats for many years, including a number of my own, I understand just how individual they can be. Every appointment is tailored to your cat.
Cat Grooming Services - Add ons
Not all cats require a full groom so rather than including unnecessary extras, you can choose from a range of add-on treatments to create a groom tailored to your cat’s individual needs,
without adding anything they don’t require.
Bathing & Drying
A gentle, carefully managed bathing and drying process using cat-appropriate products and a calm, quiet approach. Everything is carried out at your cat’s pace, helping them feel as comfortable and settled as possible throughout.
De-matting and Coat Maintenance
Coat care to keep your cat’s coat comfortable, healthy and manageable. Minor tangles can often be eased out carefully, helping to prevent discomfort and potential skin issues.
Any matting is approached slowly and with your cat’s welfare in mind. Where possible, small knots may be worked through gently, depending on your cat’s tolerance.
If matting is more significant or close to the skin, the kindest and most appropriate approach will always be chosen to keep your cat comfortable and safe.

Nail Clipping
Nail trimming to help keep your cat’s nails at a comfortable length and prevent overgrowth. The process is carried out with care, adapting to your cat so they feel as settled as possible throughout.
Nail clipping can be included as part of a full groom or booked as a standalone appointment.
Full Cat Grooms
A full cat groom is ideal for long-haired breeds and for cats who need a little extra support in maintaining their coat. Regular grooming helps to remove loose, dead coat, reduce shedding around the home, and keep your cat’s coat clean, comfortable and free from tangles.
This service helps to prevent matting while keeping their coat in the best possible condition.

Our grooming service for cats includes:

Book Your Cat Grooming Appointment
If you’re considering cat grooming, you’re very welcome to get in touch to discuss your cat’s needs. Guidance can be given along with an estimated cost based on their coat and temperament.
Smaller treatments, such as nail clipping, can often be carried out as a short, while-you-wait appointment.
A full cat groom is typically booked over a longer appointment time, allowing the groom to be completed in stages. This gives your cat regular breaks and helps to keep the experience as calm and low-stress as possible.
Where needed, your cat can stay for a longer period to allow everything to be done at their pace.

Getting your cat ready - handy tip!
Cats can be very perceptive so keeping the carrier out of sight until the day of the appointment can sometimes make getting them ready a little easier.
